CoreCon 2022: “The Great Age of Dragons” is currently planned as an in-person event May 26th-May 29th, 2022 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, North Dakota.
In planning all of the events that make our conventions enjoyable for everyone,
the health and safety of our attendees (attendees are defined as: congoers, guests, panelists, vendors, staff and volunteers) is of the utmost importance to CoreCon and our parent company, Digital Grail. We are bound by North Dakota state law and local city law that complicate what we are currently able to enforce. We will also continue to monitor and follow recommendations set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Due to the ever-evolving nature of COVID-19, we are constantly monitoring and reviewing protocols that relate to the current COVID-19 situation. With any public event, there is an inherent risk of exposure to any disease including COVID-19 and we strive to make our events the safest they can be!
Current COVID-19 Policy for CoreCon 2022
-
Attendees, including CoreCon and Digital Grail staff, will be encouraged to wear a mask meeting the CDC recommendations in designated areas when not actively eating or drinking.
-
CoreCon is all inclusive and we ask all in attendance to be considerate of their fellow attendees and respect their space and needs.
More information about masking guidelines can be found by referring to the current CDC recommendations at this link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html
Due to current North Dakota state law, we cannot legally require anyone attending our convention to show proof of vaccination status or require a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending any of our events.
There is no cap on membership or number of attendees for CoreCon 2022 at this time.
Reasonable Accommodations and Accessibility
CoreCon is in the process of establishing policies for reasonable accommodation and accessibility for our attendees and staff that have verifiable health or accessibility needs. Requests will be handled on a case by case basis. We will be updating this policy via our website as soon as it is available. You can read more about our Accessibility Team at this link: https://www.fargocorecon.org/2017/11/30/corecons-accessibility-team/
What is CoreCon doing to keep our attendees safe in regards to COVID-19?
CoreCon cares about everyone who makes our convention possible! We are doing as much as we can to make this a safe event.
Face Coverings:
We again ask that all attendees wear a mask or face covering in any public areas in our event space unless they are actively eating or drinking. If you are in need of a mask while at CoreCon, we will make them available to you through our convention.
Social Distancing:
We are working with the heads of all of our departments to give everyone as much distance as we are able to. We ask that you give as much distance between yourself and others when possible and to avoid physical contact (ie…hugs, handshakes, etc…) while interacting with others.
Hygiene and Sanitization:
During our convention, CoreCon will take precautions that support a safe environment. These include enhanced cleaning methods and providing sanitization stations throughout the event space. We ask that anyone attending our event do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by washing their hands or sanitizing as often as possible.
General Wellness:
All of our attendees are asked to self-evaluate prior to joining us at our events. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days prior to our convention, we ask that you take your fellow attendees into consideration and not attend our event.
CoreCon and Digital Grail ask for your continued support and patience as we follow the complexity and the uncertain path of the current pandemic. Our hope is to remain flexible while still balancing the health and safety of our attendees.
